In response to a question from a worker who, due to COVID-19, opted to drive to work instead of using public transportation, the IRS has issued a letter saying that employees may apply unused commuter transit benefit amounts to parking benefits in certain circumstances.

The COVID-19 pandemic has proven just how convenient telehealth services can be.

According to a survey from FAIR Health, there was a 4,347% increase nationally in telehealth utilization from March 2019 to March 2020. In addition, many providers and hospitals are encouraging patients to utilize telehealth services instead of coming to the office or hospital for non-life-threatening care.

During a press briefing on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended that Americans don’t travel for Thanksgiving to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The recommendation—which is not an official federal order against traveling—comes just one day after the United States surpassed 250,000 COVID-19-related deaths.
